Journalist Anıl Sural – 19 Years of Experience in TV and Newspapers
Anıl Sural was born in Amasya and has lived in Diyarbakir, Karabuk, Sakarya, Orlando, Trieste, Istanbul, and Chicago. He currently resides in Washington, D.C., where he covers the White House, Pentagon, and Turkish news in the United States. In 2013, he graduated from Istanbul Okan University with a double major in international relations (English) and business administration (English). In 2011, he attended Disney's International College Program in Orlando, Florida. Sural also studied at the Faculty of Economics as an exchange student at the University of Trieste, Italy. In 2019, he completed his MBA (Master of Entrepreneurship) with high honors from Washington Bay Atlantic University.
Since 2016, Sural has served as the U.S. Representative for the Turkey-based newspaper Önce Vatan. Between 2018 and 2020, he worked for Forum USA, a Turkish-American newspaper based in the U.S. He has contributed to Ekoturk Television since 2018 and provides live reports from Washington to various Turkish television stations.
Sural holds credentials from the White House, the U.S. Department of State, the Pentagon (U.S. Department of Defense), and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). He is also accredited by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the National Basketball Association (NBA), and the National Football League (NFL).
Sural has published a book about Turkish immigration stories to the United States, titled "Why Did I Come to America? Turks Who Left Their Mark in America."
